In the article the author considers the world and Russian experience in the sphere of realization of an open source data project of the state government bodies using the analysis of qualitative and quantitative sociological research. The author analyses the existing problems and difficulties in realization of the program, ways of improvement and possibilities of using the experience of the Russian segment including application of civil initiatives.
