Bu makale, esas itibariyle Usta (2019) tarafından kaleme alınan “Ahşapsever Yaklaşım Temelinde Ahşapseverlik Olgusu” başlıklı yazıdan üretilmiş olup bu yazıda ilave açıklamalarla ve kavramsal nitelemelerle ahşapseverlik kuramı pekiştirilmiştir. Ahşabın, bir malzeme olarak tarih boyunca insanlığa sağladığı sayısız faydasıyla birlikte, dünü bugüne ve bugüne yarına bağlayan bir kültürlerarası etkileşim aracı olarak insanlığın ortak değeri olduğu gerçeği dikkate alındığında, ahşapsever yaklaşım temelinde ahşapseverlik olgusuyla gerçekleştirilen tüm faaliyetlerin bütünleşik bir kurgu dahilinde yaratıcılığın özü ve yeniliğin akılsal süreciyle uyumlu ve birbiriyle yakın bir ilişki içinde olduğu açıkça görülür. Bu açıdan bakıldığında, ahşapseverlik sadece ahşap bilimi ve teknolojisi alanında nispeten uzun vadeli bir geçerliliği olan belirli bir terim değil, aynı zamanda deneysel ve gözlemsel incelemelerle uygun bir şekilde elde edilebilecek bilimsel kanıtlar sunmak üzere, sosyal ve teknik literatürde refah ve yaşam kalitesinin ileriye dönük veya geçmişe ait çalışmalarının altında yatan değerlendirmelere rehberlik eden çok özel bir varsayımdır. Dolayısıyla, bu çalışmada, evrenselliği odağına alan ahşapsever yaklaşım temelinde özgünlük ile kültürel varoluşçuluk ve dışavurumculuk kavramlarıyla iç içe geçmiş önemli ve çok yaygın bir olgu olan ahşapseverlik konusunun, kendine özgü bir iç tutarlılığı ve yeterli açıklayıcılığı bulunan bir teori olarak, ilk defa etraflıca takdim edilmesi ve metinsel betimlemelerle açıklanması amaçlanmıştır. Zira ahşapseverlik, insanlık tarihinin başlangıcından beri tüm toplumlar tarafından bilindik bir olgu olmasına karşılık, halen tanımlanmayı bekleyen ayrıcalıklı bir konu olarak ortadadır. Şurası çok açık ki, nispeten uzun sayılabilecek bir zamandan beri süregelen araştırmalarla, ahşabın hayatın hemen her alanında yer alan mevcudiyetinin genişliği ve derinliği ortaya konulmuş ve ahşap hakkındaki bilgi dağarcığının zenginleşmesine önemli katkılar sağlanmış olmasına rağmen, bu çalışmalar yeterli değildir ve henüz tamamlanmamıştır. Bu kapsamda, doğayı ve insanları önemsemek suretiyle, doğaya ve insanlara değer vermek temasına odaklanmış evrensel bir olgu olan ahşapsever yaklaşım çerçevesinde değerlendirilen ahşapseverlik olgusu; sürdürülebilir ve kaynağı yenilenebilir bir doğal malzeme olarak ağaçlardan temin edilen ahşabı doğru ve etkin bir şekilde kullanmak suretiyle, doğa ve insan uyumlandırmasıyla medeniyetin gelişmesine katkı sağlayan, bireyi ve toplumu önceleyen içselliğiyle bireysel ve toplumsal gerçekliği temsil eden ve hiç ayırt etmeksizin tüm insanlığı kucaklayan ayrıntılı bir içeriğe sahip olduğundan, insanlığın gelişmesine ve medeniyetin ilerlemesine büyük katkılar sağlamış olan ahşap bilimi ve teknolojisi odağında, aydınlanmacı bakış açısıyla bu yazıda tanıtılmıştır. Bu noktada, ahşapsever yaklaşım zemininde, ahşabın önemli bir malzeme ve değerli bir varlık olarak değerlendirilmesine yönelik güncel tartışmaların ve önerilerin anlaşılıp yorumlanmasına çalışılırken, ahşabın olası marjinalleşmesi durumu da göz önüne alındığında, ahşapseverlik olgusu belli bir çerçevede değerlendirilebilen yeni bir kavram olarak konuşulabilir. Bu çalışma mevcut içeriğiyle önemlidir, çünkü “Ahşapsever Yaklaşım” konusunun esas pekiştiricisi olan “Ahşapseverlik” olgusu, bu çalışmayla etraflıca açıklanmış olacaktır. Burada yapılan açıklamaların, ahşabın evrenselliğinin bir göstergesi olarak tüm insanlığa ışık tutacağı öngörülmektedir. Dolayısıyla, ahşapsever yaklaşım temelinde ahşapseverlik olgusuna dikkat çekmek ve ahşap bilimi ve teknolojisi alanı ile beynelmilel kamuoyunda bu konuya ilişkin bir farkındalık yaratmak öngörüsüyle hazırlanan bu yazı, Türkçe ve İngilizce olmak üzere iki dilde hazırlanmıştır. Bu yazının iki dilli olarak kaleme alınması, yaygın olarak küresel boyutta karşımıza çıkan ve küreselleşmeyi sürekli hale getiren bir durum olan “herkese fayda sağlayacak şekilde açıklama yapma ve tanıtma” öngörüsüyle ilintili bir husustur.

This paper is mainly produced by Usta (2019) from the article titled "A Fact of Woodloverness on the basis of Woodlover Approach”, and in this paper, the theory of woodloverness is reinforced with additional explanations and conceptual characterizations. Considering the fact that wood is a common value of humanity as a means of intercultural interaction
that connects the past to the present and the future with the numerous benefits that has provided to humanity as a
material throughout history, it is clearly seen that all the activities carried out with the concept of woodloverness on the
basis of woodlover approach are in harmony with the essence of creativity and the mental process of innovation and in
close relationship with each other within an integrated fiction. From this perspective, woodloverness is not only a certain
term that has a relatively long validity in the field of wood science and technology, but also is a very special assumption that
has guided evaluation for underlying either prospective or retrospective studies of welfare and quality of life in social and
technical literatures in order to provide scientific evidences that can be properly acquired by experimental and
observational investigations. Therefore, in this study, it is aimed to explain the subject of woodloverness, which is an
important and a very widespread phenomenon that is intertwined with the concepts of authenticity and cultural
existentialism and expressionism on the basis of woodlover approach that focuses on universality, as a theory which has a
unique internal consistency and sufficient explanations for the first time and to explain it with textual depictions. Because
while the fact of woodloverness is a common phenomenon by all societies since the beginning of human history, it is still a
privileged issue waiting to be defined. It is clear that although the studies have been conducted since a relatively long time,
the breadth and depth of the existence of wood in almost all areas of life have been demonstrated and important
contributions have been made to the enrichment of knowledge about wood, these studies are not sufficient and have not
been completed yet. In this context, a fact of woodloverness that is evaluated within the framework of woodlover
approach, which is a universal phenomenon focused on the theme of giving importance to nature and people by taking care
of both nature and people, by using wood supplied from trees as a sustainable and renewable natural material correctly
and effectively, has been introduced in this article from an enlightening perspective in the focus of the science and
technology of wood, which has made great contributions to the development of humanity and the progress of civilization,
because the phenomenon of woodloverness has a detailed content that embraces all humanity without any distinction,
representing the individual and social reality with its internality prioritizing the individual and society, and contributing to
the development of civilization by nature and human adaptation. At this point, on the basis of the woodlover approach,
considering the possible marginalization of wood while trying to understand and interpret the current discussions and
suggestions for the evaluating wood as an important material and valuable entity, the phenomenon of woodloverness can
be considered as a new concept that can be evaluated within a certain framework. This study is important with its present
content, because the case of “Woodloverness”, which is the main reinforcement of the subject of “Woodlover Approach”,
will be explained in detail with this study. It is envisaged that the explanations made here will shed light on all humanity as
an indicator of the universality of wood. Therefore, this article, which is prepared with the intention to draw the attention
to the phenomenon of woodloverness on the basis of woodlover approach, and to create awareness about this issue in the
worldwide public opinion with the field of wood science and technology, is prepared in both Turkish and English languages.
The bilingual writing of this manuscript is related to the foresight “to explain and promote in a way that will benefit
everyone”, which is a global situation that makes globalization continuous.
