Bu çalışmanın amacı öğretmen adaylarının lisansüstü öğretime yönelik görüşlerini ortaya çıkarmaktır.
Araştırma nitel araştırma desenlerinden biri olan “durum çalışması” deseni kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın
çalışma grubunu 2013-2014 öğretim yılında Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi’nde
çeşitli Anabilim Dalları’nda öğrenim gören (12 kız, 12 erkek) öğretmen adayları oluşturmaktadır.
Araştırmada amaçlı örneklem çeşitlerinden ölçüt örnekleme kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı
olarak yarı yapılandırılmış ve yönlendirici olmayan görüşme tekniği kullanılmıştır. Görüşme sorularının
analizinde içerik analizi tekniği kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda öğretmen adaylarının farklı nedenlerden
dolayı lisansüstü öğretim yapmak istedikleri sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Bununla birlikte, öğretmen adaylarının
lisansüstü öğretim sürecinde çeşitli sorunlar yaşayacaklarını düşündükleri belirlenmiştir. Öğretmen
adaylarının lisansüstü öğretim yapma konusunda destekleyen bireylerin ise genel olarak yakın aile çevreleri,
arkadaşları ve öğretmenleri olduğu ortaya çıkmıştır.

The purpose of this study is to determine the opinions of prospective teachers on postgraduate education. The study has utilized the design of “Case Study” which is one of the qualitative research designs. The major characteristic of qualitative case study is that it examines one or more cases thoroughly. The study group of the research is composed of the prospective teachers in Faculty of Education of Canakkale Onsekiz Mart University in the academic year of 2013-2014. The study has used criterion sampling which is one of the types of purposive samplings. The sampling of the study consists of prospective teachers (12 female and 12 male) who study in different Departments of Canakkale Onsekiz Mart University in the academic year of 2013-2014 and wish to have a postgraduate education. The study utilized semi-structured, non-directive interview technique as the data collection tools. The content analysis technique is used in the analysis of interview questions. The prospective teachers have been observed to pursuing a postgraduate education for different reasons. The study has found that the preparation of prospective teachers for postgraduate education in order to meet the application requirements of postgraduate education. It has been concluded that the prospective teachers reflect they may encounter various problems during postgraduate education. The result of the study has indicated that the pr The individuals that support prospective teachers in having a postgraduate education have been observed to be their close relatives, friends and teachers in general. prospective teachers utilized various resources on pursuing a postgraduate education.
