DETERMINING THE EMISSION OF WORKPLACE POLLUTANTS MIXED INTO THE ATMOSPHERE IN TERMS OF WORK AND WORKER HEALTH AND ANALYZING THESE EMISSIONS WITH GC-MS DEVICE EQUIPPED WITH TERMAL DESORBER

Human health and hygiene being an indispensable matter of daily life is a highly important subject in the business life and business environment. We should take into consideration that there are many chemicals having different features in ambient air and effects on employees to evaluate the measurement results made in workplace truly in terms of the job security and human health. In this study, sampling was made in different dates with the purpose of determining the emissions into the atmosphere at certain points belonging to workplaces. Samplings were carried out actively with the “Air Lite” brand sampling pump of sorbent tubes and passively without the pump. Samples taken were analyzed in the GC-MS system equipped with Thermal Desorber branded as “Markes” in the Chemical Toxicology Laboratory and a result was obtained. According to results, values regarding nonpersistent chemicals required in workplace were given.
