Bahr-i tavîl terimi, hem bir aruz bahrini hem de bir nazım şeklinin alt formunu karşılamaktadır. Vezin olarak neredeyse hiç
tercih edilmese de birçok şairin bahr-i tavîl formunda şiir yazdığı bilinmektedir. Anadolu sahasındaki ilk örneğini XV. yüzyıl
şairi Ahmed Paşa’nın kaleme aldığı bahr-i tavîl, nazım ile nesir arasında bir konuma ve köprü niteliğine sahiptir. Tef’ilelerden
oluşmasıyla nazma; secilerle yapılan iç kafiyeleriyle de nesre yakınlaşmaktadır. Mısralardaki tef’ile sayısını şairin isteği ve
hünerinin belirlediği uzun mısralardan oluşan bahr-i tavîl, divan şairlerinin fark yaratma çabalarının bir tezahürü olarak da
değerlendirilebilir. Bu konudaki literatürün genel çerçevesi, araştırmacılar tarafından belirlenmiş; araştırmalar neticesinde
Ahmed Paşa, Seyfî, Gelibolulu Âlî, Muhibbî, Birrî, Fedâyî, Fehîm-i Kadîm, Şeyh Gâlib, Bayburtlu Zihnî gibi birçok şairin bahr-i
tavîl tarzında şiir yazdığı tespit edilmiştir. Bu çalışmada da Fehîm, Yahyâ ve Zâhirî mahlaslı şairlerin bahr-i tavîlleri
yayımlanarak alana katkı yapılmaya çalışılacaktır. Ayrıca divanlarında bahr-i tavîl bulunduğu hâlde literatüre girmemiş iki
şairin (Fezâyî ve Kâşif Es’ad) üç bahr-i tavîli de söz konusu edilecektir.

The term bahr-ı tavil meets both an class of meter of prosody and a subform of a poetry form. It is known that many poets
wrote poems in the form of bahr-ı tavil, although almost never preferred as a prosody. The first example in the Anatolian
field is XV. century poet Ahmed Pasha penned by bahr-ı tavil, which is a location and a bridge between verse and prose.
Poetry with its composed of tefiles; it also gets closer to prose with its inner stylistic rhymed prose made with choices. The
bahr-ı tavil, which consists of long lines of which the number of tefile in the verses is determined by the will and skill of the
poet, can also be evaluated as a manifestation of the efforts of divan poets to make a difference. The general framework of
the literature on this subject has been determined by the researchers; as a result of the researches, it was determined that
many poets such as Ahmed Pasha, Seyfi, Gelibolulu Ali, Muhibbi, Birri, Fedayi, Fehim-i Kadim, Şeyh Galib, Bayburtlu Zihni
wrote poems in the style of bahr-ı tavil. In this study, it will be tried to contribute to the field by publishing the bahr-ı tavils of
the poets pseudonymous Fehim, Yahya and Zahiri. In addition, three bahr-i tavil of two poets (Fezayi and Kaşif Es’ad) who
did not enter the literature although they had bahr-ı tavil in their divan will be mentioned.
