Cumhuriyet dönemi Türk edebiyatının temsilcilerinden olan Refik Erduran, çok yönlü kişiliğiyle dikkati çeken bir sanatkârdır.
Yazar, fıkra, senaryo, anı, roman ve deneme türünde eserler verir. Romanlarında, sosyo-kültürel yozlaşma, yabancılaşma,
sömürü, suç ve ceza gibi izlekleri, toplumcu gerçekçi bir anlayışla ortaya koyan yazar bireyin yaşam karşısında takındığı tavır
ve tutum onun kişiliğini yansıtan ayna gibidir. Bireyin kendisi dışında başka bir ‘ben’e dönüşmesi sonucunda yaşadığı
yabancılık, kişiyi değerlere ve ahlaki ilkelere karşı öteki hale getirir.
Erduran, romanlarında Anadolu yaşam biçimi ve algısını, sosyal medyanın içinde bulunduğu çürümeyi bireyden toplumsal
olana kaydırarak derinlemesine ele alır. Eserlerinde sosyal adaletsizlik, kültürel erozyon, plansız ekonomi, anarşik üretim,
nihilizm, kriz ve kaos sosyal çürümeyi ve yabancılaşmayı hızlandırır. Yazara göre ahlak ve kendilik eksenli bir yaşam tarzının
sürdürülmesi eğitim ve kolektif üretim, ulusal birlik ve kolektif aksiyonla mümkündür.

Refik Erduran, one of the representatives of Turkish literature in the Republican era, is an artist who draws attention with his
versatile personality. The author, who has a versatile artist identity, gives works in the form of jokes, scripts, memoirs, novels
and essays. In the novels of the writers, socio-cultural degeneration, alienation, exploitation, crime and punishment are
revealed with a socialist realistic approach. In the novels of the author, the attitude and attitude of the individual towards
life is like a mirror showing his personality. As a result of the transformation of the individual into another 'self' other than
himself, the alienation that he experiences makes the person other against values and moral principles.
In his novels, Erduran deals with the way of life and perception of Anatolia, the decay of social media, from the individual to
the social, in depth. Social injustice, cultural erosion, unplanned economy, anarchic production, nihilism, crisis and chaos
trigger the phenomenon of alienation the novels. According to the author, maintaining a moral and self-centered lifestyle is
possible through education and collective production, national unity and collective action.
