Teknolojinin 21.yüzyılda inanılmaz bir hızla ilerlemesiyle, günümüz insanının, bu hıza uyum sağlayabilmesinin ön koşulu,
teknoloji kullanma becerisi olmuştur. Günlük yaşantıdaki hayal gücünü zorlayan gelişmeler yaşam şekillerini değiştirmiş,
teknolojinin gelişmesi ve teknolojik ürünlerin ucuzlaması sonucu yeni teknolojiler her yaştan bireyin kullanımına
sunulmuştur. Telefonu, televizyonu, uydu sistemlerini, çamaşır makinesi ve buzdolabı gibi elektronik eşyaları etkili ve verimli
bir şekilde kullanabilmek için yeterli teknik bilgiye sahip olmayı gerekli kılmıştır.
Teknoloji okuryazarlığında amaç, bireye teknolojinin daha geniş toplumsal sistemle olan ilişkisini göstermek ve teknolojik
sistemlerin kendilerini şekillendiren politik, kültürel ve ekonomik sistemlerden ayrı düşünülemeyeceği bilincini vermektir.
Bu araştırma, Mesleki Yükseköğretimde öğrenim gören öğrencilerin teknoloji-okuryazarlık düzeylerini belirlemek amacıyla
gerçekleştirilmiştir.
Çalışma, İskenderun Teknik Üniversitesi, İskenderun Meslek Yüksekokulu’nda yürütülmüştür. Farklı sosyal ve teknik
programlarda öğrenim gören öğrenciler ile teknoloji okuryazarlığı anketi yapılmış ve sonuçlar istatistiki olarak
değerlendirilmiştir.

With technological advances at an incredible speed in the 21st century, modern people have the ability to use technology
to precisely adapt to this pace. The unbelievable developments in daily life have changed the lifestyles as a result of the
development of technology and cheeping of the technological products the new technologies has been presented to the
individuals of all ages. The sufficient knowledge to use productively and efficiently the electronic devices such as the
telephones, televisions, satellite systems, washing machines, and refrigerators have been requisite.
In technology literacy, the aim is to show that the individual is related to the broader social system and that technological
systems cannot be considered apart from the political, cultural and economic systems that shape them.
This research is realized to determine the level of the technology literacy of the students of Vocational Higher Education.
The study was executed at Iskenderun Vocational College of Iskenderun Technical University. The technology literacy survey
was conducted with the students who were trained in different social and technical programs and the results were
evaluated statistically.
