Ibn-i Sȋnâ, who has a very important place in the history of Turkish-Islam and world science, has a considerable value in
Turkish cultural history, too. Ibn-i Sȋnâ, who lived a short and full life, left valuable works in many fields such as medicine,
philosophy, astronomy, geometry, language. In addition to being a scientist, the stories told about him are the source of
Turkish folk literature. But in Turkish folk narratives, rather than his real life, his personalty properties which is in people's
thinking and imagine stands out. At this point, according to folk narratives, Ibn-i Sȋnâ draws attention with its being a loved
character.
In this article, first of all, a general evaluation was made by mentioning the studies about Ibn-i Sȋnâ stories. Later, biography
of Ibn-i Sȋnâ, that is published by Ebuzziya in Hijri 1299 (Gregorian 1881-1882) in Ebuzziya printing office was discussed. In
this section after informing about the content of the work, the method followed by Ebuzziya in this biographical work was
evaluated. After the result section, the work has been transferred to the Latin alphabet in order to present it to the use of
the researchers.
