Bu çalışmanın amacı, Vekâlet Teorisi’nin sağlık sektöründeki yansımalarını tüm yönleriyle ortaya koymaktır. Bu kapsamda çalışmada; teorinin tarihsel gelişim süreci, kavramsal çerçevesi ve teorinin temelinde var olan vekâlet ilişkisinin beraberinde getirdiği sözleşme problemleri sağlık sektörüyle ilişkili olarak ayrıntılı bir şekilde incelenmiştir. Ayrıca; Vekâlet Teorisi’nin organizasyon teorisine yapmış olduğu katkılar ile literatürde teoriye yöneltilen eleştirilere yer verilmiş ve bu teori kapsamında sağlık sektöründe yapılan ulusal ve uluslararası çeşitli araştırmalara ilişkin bulgular tartışılarak bu kapsamda bazı çıkarımlarda bulunulmuştur

The purpose of this study is to reveal the reflections of the Theory of Agency in the healthcare sector with all its aspects. In this context; the historical development process and conceptual framework of this theory and contractual problems brought by the agency relationship existing at the basis of the theory have been examined in detail in relation to the healthcare sector. Also; the contributions of the Theory of Agency to the theory of organization and the criticism of this theory in the literature are included and within the scope of this theory, the findings related to various national and international researches made in the health sector have been discussed and some conclusions have been made in this context
