Bu çalışmada Gagauz öğrencilerin Türkiye Türkçesi konuşma becerisindeki durumlarına ilişkin tespitler
yapılmıştır. Gagauz Türkleri, Orta Asya’dan göç ederek Balkanlara ve Avrupa’nın kuzeydoğusuna kadar gelen;
Yunan, Bulgar, Romen ve Rus milletlerinin çatısı altında uzun süre yaşadıktan sonra 23 Aralık 1994’te Moldova
Cumhuriyeti’nde kurdukları özerk idareyle devletleşme sürecini en son yaşayan Türk topluluğudur. Gagauzların
sahip olduğu Türkçe, Azeri Türkçesi, Türkmen Türkçesi ve Türkiye Türkçesiyle birlikte Türk dilinin Oğuz
grubunu oluşturmaktadır. Bu diller içinde Türkiye Türkçesine gramer ve sözcük oluşumu bakımından en yakını
Gagauz Türkçesidir. Hatta kimi Türkologlara göre Gagauz Türkçesi, Türkiye Türkçesinin Rumeli ağızlarından
sayılabilecek bir ağız özelliği göstermektedir. Bu durumun Türkiye Türkçesi konuşma becerisine yansımalarını
ortaya koymak, araştırmanın amacını oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın sonucuna göre Gagauz öğrencilerin Türkiye
Türkçesi konuşma becerisinde başarısız oldukları tespit edilmiştir. Bunun temel nedeni, Gagauz ve Türkiye
Türkçeleri arasındaki benzerliğin Türkiye Türkçesi konuşma becerisine olumsuz yansıması, diğer bir ifadeyle ana
dilindeki alışkanlıkların hedef dilde konuşmaya ket vurmasıdır.

This study reveals the evaluation of Gagauz students’ speaking skills in Turkish of Turkey. Gagauz Turks is the
Turkish community, which immigrates from Central Asia and reaches up to the Northeast of Balkan Peninsula and
Europe, and experiences the process of becoming a state by autonomous administration they have established in
the Republic of Moldova on December 23rd, 1994 as the last Turkish community after living under the same roof
of Greek, Bulgarian, Romanian and Russian nations for a long time. The Turkish language possessed by the Gagauz
constitutes the Oghuz group of the Turkish language together with the Azeri Turkish, Turkmen Turkish and Turkish
of Turkey. Within these languages, Gagauz Turkish is the most similar to the Turkish of Turkey in terms of
grammar and word formation. Also according to some Turcologists, Gagauz Turkish demonstrates a dialect
characteristic, which may be considered one of Rumelia dialects of the Turkish of Turkey. This situation constitutes
the aim of this investigation revealing the reflection of Turkish of Turkey in speaking skills. According to the
results of the inquiry, it was revealed that Gagauz students failed in Turkish of Turkey speaking skills. The main
reason for this result is that the similarity between Gagauz and Turkey Turkish languages causes a negative
reflection on Turkish of Turkey speaking skills. In other words, the habits of the mother tongue impede speaking
skills in target language.
