Bir mesleğe yönelik olarak geliştirilen tutum, bireyin o meslekteki başarısının
en önemli belirleyicisidir. Bu nedenle sabır ve özveri gerektiren öğretmenlik
mesleğini yapacak kişilerin öğretmenlik mesleğine yönelik tutumları olumlu olmalıdır.
Bu araştırmanın amacı, tezsiz yüksek lisans programına devam eden fenedebiyat
fakültesi mezunlarıyla eğitim fakültesi son sınıf öğrencilerinin öğretmenlik
mesleğine yönelik tutumlarını çeşitli değişkenler açısından incelemektir. Araştırmanın
örneklemini Kazım Karabekir Eğitim Fakültesi Orta Öğretim Fen ve Matematik
Alanları Eğitimi Bölümünde tezsiz yüksek lisans programına devam eden 103 fenedebiyat
fakültesi mezunu ile 117 eğitim fakültesi son sınıf öğrencisi oluşturmaktadır.
Yapılan değerlendirme sonucunda adayların öğretmenlik mesleğine yönelik
tutumlarının fakülte değişkenine göre farklılaşmadığı, öğretmenlik mesleğini tercih
etme nedenlerine göre ise adayların tutumlarında farklılık olduğu tespit edilmiştir.
Ayrıca eğitim fakültesi öğrencilerinin cinsiyetlerine göre öğretmenlik mesleğine
yönelik tutumlarında farklılık olduğu bulunurken, fen-edebiyat fakültesi mezunu
öğretmen adaylarının üniversiteye girişte, üst sıralardaki tercihleri arasında eğitim
fakültesi tercihleri bulunmasının, adayların öğretmenlik mesleğine yönelik tutumlarına
bir etkisi olmadığı saptanmıştır.

The attitude that is developed toward a profession is the most important
determination of the individuals’ achievement in the profession. For this reason,
people who will conduct the teaching profession that necessitates patience and selfdenial
must have the postive attitudes toward teaching profession. The aim of this
study is to investigate the attitudes of the science and art faculty students and
education faculty students attend the non-thesis graduated program toward teaching
profession for different variables. The sample of the study formed by 103 graduated
students of the science and art faculty and 117 the education faculty students that
attend the non-thesis graduated program at the secondary science and mathematics
subjects department in Kazım Karabekir Education Faculty. According to the
results, there is no difference between teacher candidates’ attitudes towards teaching
profession for faculty variable. But it was found difference between the candidates’
attitudes toward teaching profession for the reason of the choice of teaching
profession. Also it was found difference between education faculty students’
attitudes for their gender and it was found that science and art faculty students’
attitudes towards teaching profession was not affected from the order of department
choice before entering to the university.
