17. yüzyılın başlarında yaşayan Veysî, nesirde geliştirdiği üslup ile şöhret bulmuş önemli bir münşi ve şairdir. Onun
nesri, çağdaşları ve sonraki kuşaklar tarafından model kabul edilmiştir. Veysî'nin mensur eserlerinden başka, divanı
ve bir de az bilinen Hicviye’si bulunmaktadır. Hicviye, dönemin Anadolu kazaskeri Molla Ahmed'in düzenlediği umumi
dersin ironik bir dil ile tasvirinden ibarettir. Bu çalışmada, Veysî'nin ilk gençlik döneminde yazdığı bu Hicviye
tanıtılacak, metnin çevriyazısı ile Türkçe çevirisi verilecektir.

Veysî, having lived in the early 17th century, is a significant münşi (prose writer) and poet, who became famous with
the style he developed in prose. He built a breakthrough in the field of prose with his writings and his works were
recognized as a model by his contemporaries and subsequent generations. Other than his prose works, Veysî has a
Divan and a less known Hicviye (Satire) as well. Hicviye consists of the depiction of a public lecture organized by
Molla Ahmed, the Chief Judge of Anatolia at that time, with an ironic language. In this study, this Hicviye, which
Veysi wrote during his early youth, will be introduced; transcription of the text and its translation will be given.
