Akran Zorbalığına Şahit Olan Öğrencilerin Algıları

The aim of this research is to investigate the opinions of students who witness peer bullying at the
high school level regarding peer bullying. The study was designed according to the
phenomenological design, which is one of the qualitative research designs. Maximum diversity
sampling method was used to determine the study group. The study group consists of 20 high
school students studying in Erzincan province. Data for the study was collected using a semistructured interview form and analysed using descriptive analysis method. The research found that
peer bullying is a common problem, and the most common types of bullying are verbal, physical,
and cyberbullying. In addition, it was determined that witnessing bullying has negative
psychological and social effects. The findings of the research were discussed within the framework
of the literature.

Bu araştırmanın amacı ortaöğretim düzeyinde akran zorbalığına şahit olan öğrencilerin akran
zorbalığına ilişkin görüşlerinin incelenmesidir. Çalışma nitel araştırma desenlerinden olgubilim
desenine göre tasarlanmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunun belirlenmesinde maksimum çeşitlilik
örnekleme yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu Erzincan ilinde öğrenim gören 20
ortaöğretim öğrencisi oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmaya ilişkin veriler yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme
formu ile toplanmış ve betimsel analiz yöntemiyle analiz edilmiştir. Araştırmada akran zorbalığının
yaygın bir sorun olduğu, en çok görülen zorbalık türlerinin ise sözel, fiziksel ve sanal zorbalık
olduğu bulunmuştur. Ayrıca zorbalığa şahit olmanın psikolojik ve sosyal açıdan olumsuz etkiler
oluşturduğu tespit edilmiştir. Araştırmadan elde edilen bulgular alan yazın çerçevesinde
tartışılmıştır.
