The article is devoted to the definition and scientific analysis of the problem of the proclamation of the independence of Catalonia. The article examines the history of the development of separatist ideas in the region, the prospects for the independence of Catalonia, the possibility of recognizing the sovereignty of the region, identified the negative effects and risks of the process of separating the region from Spain.

Статья посвящена определению и научному анализу проблемы провозглашения независимости Каталонии. В статье рассмотрена история развития сепаратистских идей в регионе, перспективы независимости Каталонии, возможность признания суверенитета региона, определены негативные последствия и риски процесса отделения региона от Испании.
