REFİ CEVAT ULUNAY’IN ROMANLARINDA AŞK VE CİNSELLİK

Refi Cevat Ulunay is known more as a journalist in the history of Turkish Literature. As a novelist, Although
the author has written important novels. He could not come prominence in this area. It is seen that his
journalizm pushed the his novels back. Love and sexuality is one of the functional themes dealt with in his
two novels. In this study, we try to examine the novels “ Eski İstanbul Yosmaları” and “ Köle” in terms of the
themes love and sexuality.

Refi Cevat Ulunay, Türk edebiyatı tarihinde daha çok gazeteci kimliğiyle tanınmaktadır. Bir roman yazarı
olarak önemli romanlara imza atmış olmasına rağmen bu alanda ön plana çıkamamıştır. Gazeteci kimliğinin
romancı kişiliğini ikinci plana attığını görmekteyiz. Aşk ve cinsellik, onun iki romanında ele aldığı işlevsel
temalardandır. Biz bu çalışmamızda, onun “Eski İstanbul Yosmaları” ve “Köle” romanlarını aşk ve cinsellik
temaları bakımından incelemeye çalıştık.
