HÂLET BEY’İN YAZDIĞI MOLLA LUTFÎ BİYOGRAFİSİ

Halet Bey, frequently pronounced in 19th Century Turkish Literature, adopted Classical
Turkish Literature style in his poems and other published works such as newspaper, literature
journals and biographies. One of his biographies includes Molla Lutfi, an important name
belonging to the 15th Century Turkish Science and Philosophies. In this piece of work, Molla
Lutfi’s biography has been introduced and the translation of this biography has been provided
with the modern Turkish alphabet. The work, a sample text indicating the progress of biography
in Turkish Literature, contributes to illuminate the profile of Halet Bey in terms of literature

On dokuzuncu yüzyıl Türk edebiyatında adı geçen Hâlet Bey, klasik edebiyatımız
alanında şiirler yazmış; gazete, edebî dergi ve biyografiler yayınlamıştır. Biyografilerinden
biri, on beşinci yüzyıl Türk bilim ve düşünce dünyasının önemli isimlerinden Molla Lutfî’ye
aittir. Çalışmamızda, sözü edilen bu biyografi ana hatlarıyla tanıtılmış ve Arap kökenli Türk
harfleriyle yazılmış eserin yeni harfli Türk alfabesiyle yapılan çevriyazısı verilmiştir. Eser, Türk
Edebiyatı’nda biyografi türünün gelişimini gösteren örnek bir metin olmakla birlikte, Hâlet
Bey’in edebî kişiliğinin aydınlatılmasına katkı sağlar.
