Sokrates ve Eğitim Felsefesi

The most important feature of humanity is that he desires to know about himself. Therefore, the questions have happened to make him inquire into philosophy, which he encounters and wonders about when he lives. Philosophy, which includes a wide range of field, deals with problems concerning every part of life. Education, which dates back to about the same age as human history, also concerns philosophy. Socrates, the ancient philosopher, put his thoughts into words on this important issue as well.

İnsanı insan yapan en önemli özellik bilmeyi istemesidir. Bu yüzden insanın yaşarken karşılaştığı ve merak ettiği sorular insanı felsefeyle tanıştırmıştır. Geniş bir yelpazeye sahip olan felsefe hayatın her alanına ilişkin soruları ele alır. İnsanlık tarihi kadar eski bir geçmişe sahip olan eğitim de felsefenin ilgi alanına girer. Bu önemli konu üzerine İlkçağ filozoflarından Sokrates de düşüncelerini dile getirmiştir.
